Winter Snowflake Tag

Hi Everyone

Michelle here today from Lady of Leisure Ink with my last post for December for A Scrap N Place.  I know that Christmas is behind us, but I for one am not ready to put away my Christmassy crafting supplies - and I so I am not going to.  I decided to use the Impression Obsession Snowflake die to make this little tag.

Snowflakes aren't just for Christmas, and this little tag would look so cute on a gift for any occasion during the winter season.  So I challenge you to keep those 'Christmas' supplies out a while longer and see what you can come up with for the winter season.

Supplies used (all available at A Scrap N Place):

  • Impression Obsession Snowflake Die 024-X
  • Kraft Paper
  • 'Pearl'
  • Ribbon
  • Lace

Shimmering snowflakes

It's Ceal here and my computer died and I am posting from my iPad using blogsy and I hope this works. For my card I used some beautiful Authentique papers, impression Obsession snowflake dies and Want To Scrap bling all with you can find at A Scrap N Place.

EVIE BARNES...aka... Cathie's mom!

IF...you didn't get to meet "EVIE" you missed a chance to experience a special moment of happiness!
Her lovely smile and fun demeanor was like a burst of sunshine. As long as I was privileged to know
her she always had an instant smile and something fun to say! With all the trials she faced thru-out her
life she "persevered" stayed independent, focused and strong, always there for everyone and doing
WHATEVER IT TOOK! The fun times we've had with her making cards along side Cathie will be times
we remember and talk about for a long time to come. She would get out her magnifier and carefully make
each card. The funnest thing I remember that will stick in my mind forever: Cathie is hard of hearing and of
course Evie having macular degeneration she would joke...they could be the 3 monkeys if they just had the
3rd non-speaking person!
WE WILL MISS YOU EVIE!!!
(Evie went home with her Lord November 16th - Her funeral was Saturday November 23rd.)

Present Card

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I had fun creating this little card for this week.  I started out wanting to make a window type card front but after I got the four boxes matted and on the card I thought it would be cute to put the one on the top and have it look like a present.  I added bling to all the corners for a little pizzazz.

(I just saw my bow has been moved as it should be in the middle...got to remember to keep those 6 year old hands away from my projects LOL)

A Very Merry Christmas

Hi There! Today's card is on the CAS side, but I love this Frostyville Wreath die from Memory Box. It so dainty and elegant so I wanted to showcase a quick and easy way to create this card. I die cut the wreath twice, stamped the sentiment onto the center of the white cardstock. The next thing is the lay the wreath on top and added some rhinestones to various areas on the wreath. I did score the white cardstock 1/4" in from the edges to create a frame.
A tip on using the wreath die to cut glittered cardstock: use 2 sheets of thick cardstock underneath the clear plate before cutting. It adds just the right amount of thickness to give a deep cut on the wreath and really easy to come apart.

All supplies can be purchased at A Scrap 'N Place:
Papers: Glittered Paper (red), white and red cardstock
Accessories: Zva Creative (rhinestones)
Tools: Scoring tool
