Snowman Winter

Hi There! Kim here with one last card for June. What a fun month this has been creating Christmas cards. For this card, I used Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding paper with the snowman and fussy cut them. I also freehand cut the white glitter paper to resemble snow and using 3-D foam tape to adhere the paper and snowmen onto the blue Bazzill cardstock. The snowflakes were die cut from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' Snowflake die set. Last is the brown ribbon to finish off the card.
All products used can be purchased at A Scrap 'N Place.

Christmas in June

Hi folks... Are you enjoying Christmas in June at A Scrap-N-Place?  It sure has been fun.  I just love this ornament die from Impression Obsession and who does not like anything put out by Authentique!  I punched out the middle of the ornament with a snowflake punch, you can really get creative with different dies or punches.  I added some twine for the ornament to hang from.

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

Hi Everyone

Michelle here from Lady of Leisure Ink, thanks for having me Terri.  We continue with the Christmas in June theme, and today I have a special Christmas card using one of the Prima dolls (Tasha) and 'Andrew' one of the guy stamps from C Thru The Woods.

I used red cardstock for the card base and printed the song lyrics around the edge with my computer.  I dressed Andrew in a Santa outfit (drawn by hand) and then gave him a beard and santa hat (die from Memory Box).  I used Sno-Tex for some dimension on the beard and trim of the santa outfit.  Tasha's dress is paper pieced from some scraps of paper from my stash.  With the addition of a sprig of mistletoe and pearl berries my card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by today - I hope you enjoyed my project.

See you next time.

Watercolor Takes Over the Poppies!

I have to apologize for not posting my usual Wednesday post last week.  My mom was put in hospice week before last and she died on Monday (Memorial Day).  I've been out of town a lot and distracted when I wasn't.  Top that off with a car breakdown on my way to Denver last week...a permanent breakdown...and you'll get a picture of the last couple of weeks for me.

Enough of that...here's a new card for you.

This was definitely a delight to make!  I've taken the Watercolor for Cardmakers class at Online Card Classes recently and watercolor was definitely on my mind for this one.  And I used the same Penny Black stencil and stamp that I've been using this month.

For this I inked the stencil with Distress Inks...Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberries.  I just kinda smeared the colors on the pads all over.   Then I spritzed it really good and put my paper down on it and allowed it to take up the color.  A couple of seconds is all you need.  Then I blew it dry with my heat gun.

I used the stamp positioner to position the stamp over the flowers, stamped in versamark, and embossed in bright gold embossing powder.  A pale pink card made the most impact for the background so that's what it got!

The greeting is stamped in Picked Raspberries and layered on gold glitter paper.

Supplies:
Pink and white cardstock
Penny Black stamp and stencil
Versamark ink and bright gold embossing powder
Distress inks

Father's Day Card (and more!)

Hi Everyone

Michelle here from Lady of Leisure Ink, as always Terri thank you for having me.  This is such a quick and simple Father's Day card using the small 'Andrew' Stamp from C Thru The Woods.

I used a dark grey cardstock to stamp the image several times on the background, and then fussy cut and paper pieced one image and popped him up on dimensionals.  The sentiment is computer generated.  Here is a second card, using some different scraps.

Then of course you can always change the sentiment to suit the occassion.

All supplies used are available at A Scrap N Place.

See you next time.
