Wedding Day Dolls

Hi Everyone

Michelle here from Lady of Leisure Ink - thank you once again to Terri for having me as a designer here.  My final card for this month is a wedding card, using both a Prima Doll Stamp 'Tasha' and one of the guy stamps 'Alex' from C Thru The Woods.

The background paper for this is one that I had in my stash, but Terri has plenty of lovely papers similar to this with script on that would work beautifully.

The dolls are both cut by hand, coloured with ProMarkers (any alcohol markers will do) and the clothing paper pieced.  Here you can see a close-up of the bouquet which I made using a small flower punch and a Cheery Lynn 'Wreath Strip' border die (plus some little pearls of course!)  The dress is cut from vellum and stamped and embossed ('Soft Swirls' background stamp from SU, and white embossing powder.)

At the top I used a couple of Memory Box dies for the hearts & bow and birds.

Thanks for taking a peek at my project today.  Until next time.

CAS Butterfly

Hi there it's Ceal here to share with you a card using supplies for A Scrap N Place.
I started with a plain white card base added a gray mat and then some of Authentique's beautiful butterfly paper from the harmony collection. I added a butterfly die from Impression Obsession and some bling (that I colored with Copic markers to match) to finish off my Clean and Simple card.

Thanks for looking

Our flag in watercolor...

Here's a new layout and technique for you to try...

The flag is done on watercolor paper...I had sketched it out and then just painted the blue and red with watercolor crayons and water.  It's cut in three sections and then mounted on a panel of vanilla, which is closer in color to watercolor paper than white.  You can see all the layers on this card...everything is mounted on dimensionals.

Again, I kept this card within the guidelines of mailability so there's no extras. ;)

Supplies:
Vanilla and red cardstocks
Watercolor paper
Watercolor crayons
Greeting from Technique Tuesday.

Red White and Blue

I have another mailable patriotic card for you today.

This is a simple dimensional layout.  Creating layers with "pop dots" or foam tape will go through the mail very well, as long as you don't go over 2 layers of those dimensional adhesives.  The post office will charge you extra if it gets too thick.  And all those lovely rhinestones and pearls, and especially ribbon bows, don't go thru their machines very well, even with an extra cardstock layer over the front of the card.  You will pay package rates to mail most of those cards.

Now, for this card I used my 2 cup measuring cup to create the curve on the tan and blue star paper, then again on the white paper, and layered them together.  The stripe and the stars with the white layer between them was then layered on a white panel.  That was attached to the card front with dimensionals, as was the diecut circle.  The stars are on the same level as the greeting.

Supplies:
White and Navy Cardstock
Designer papers by Authentique: Anchored collection (stripes) and Accomplished collection (stars)
Dies by Sweet n Sassy Stamps (stars) and Spellbinders (circle)
Greeting by SU!

Your Kindness Means So Much

Hi Everyone

Michelle here from  Lady of Leisure Ink - as always Terri thank you for putting up with me again!

I have another card today using the 'Mod Flower Border' from Memory Box.  I decided to play around with some acetate and place the flowers in a 'window'.

The paper is from Authentique called 'Favorite', and the sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up.  It is difficult to see in the photo by there really is some acetate in there!

Thanks for stopping by today - hope to see you next time.

Weathered Birdhouse

Happy Sunday!

It's Ceal here to share with you today.  For my card I used some products that just came in at A Scrap N Place.   Instead of just die cutting the birdhouse of of card stock, I decided to cut it out using watercolor paper and then used my watercolor paints to color it, I love the weathered affect it has by doing the watercolors.
You can find a complete list of my supplies below.  Be sure to stop by and see all the new goodies Terri has gotten in.

Paper: Authentique (Harmony collection)
Dies:
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps (clouds)

Stars and Stripes

Good morning everyone!  I love when the mist fills the valley in front of my house.  Unfortunately it usually moves by the time I get my camera!  That happened this morning...rats!

Here's my latest...

This was a fun card to play around with...and that's just what I had to do! ;)  I changed the backing paper, changed the diecut paper...twice!  I'm kind of fussy about color, and it just wasn't working at first.

The star dies are from Sweet n Sassy Stamps and the patterned paper is from the "Anchor" collection by Authentique.  The greeting is from Technique Tuesday.  Since my patriotic cards this month will all be suitable for Operation Write Home, and hence very mailable, there won't be a lot of bulk, like big bows and gems.  Those don't go thru the mail very well, alas.

So Many Men...

Hi Everyone

Michelle here from Lady of Leisure Ink - thanks Terri for having me.  I have a little tag made with one of the Prima dolls that I have never used before.  Becky the cowgirl - she fits in perfectly here in July with her red white and blue outfit, and with it being rodeo season here in Colorado, the sentiment is just right too!

I coloured the image with my ProMarkers (but any alcohol markers would work just as well), Her facial features are a stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps and the sentiment is a stamp from Rubber Romance (this could also be computer generated.)

Here are a couple of close-ups.

Here are a list of supplies used (all available at A Scrap N Place)

Prima Doll Stamp - Cowgirl Becky
Glitzy paper pack (6x6)
Ribbon
Twine

Thanks for stopping by to Check out my project today.  See you next time.

Let Freedom Ring

Independence Day is right on the doorstep.  And our focus this month is on patriotic themes.  I'll start off with this card...

I love red, white and blue!  And I got a brand new stamp set from Technique Tuesday on Monday that I decided to use for this card.

So, how did I make this one?  I started with a navy blue A2 card base.  The red star paper was cut 4 x 5-1/4 to leave a border.  Then the fun began.  I cut two flourishes from the Die-namics Fancy flourish die.  After playing around with how to arrange them, I traced off the center line with pencil onto the red star paper, then cut on the line and glued the sheet to the card base.  I trimmed the flourishes where they overlapped and attached them along the curved line of the red paper.

Next I cut stars with the Sweet and Sassy star dies and stamped the images from Technique Tuesday's My Hero set on the diecuts.  They're attached with dimensionals.  The sentiment is also from the My Hero set and is heat embossed.

This card is very mailable! No extra postage charges.

I guess that about covers it...  Happy 4th!

Supplies:
Navy and white cardstocks
Patterned paper from Authentique: Pride collection
Stamp set from Technique Tuesday
Star Dies from Sweet and Sassy
Flourish die from MFT Die-namics
Embossing powder from WOW
Both Lisa and Jacob came thru their operations with flying colors and we are so happy to say are doing very well! Here are the pictures and article that we have up in the Store. Be sure to check them out when you are in. Our round-up can that we have on the counter has been filling up nicely with everyone's generous hearts. If you haven't been in lately, be sure to check out the pictures of the projects Susan is teaching on Saturday July 12th for our JACOB'S GIFT ClASS fundraiser.

Bloom

Hi Everyone

Michelle here from Lady of Leisure Ink - as always Terri thank you so much for having me.

I have 2 cards for you today using the Memory Box Die called 'Mod Flower Border'.  They are both fairly simple cards, but I got to play with some spray inks to make some very pretty effects.

Terri has some fun colours of spray ink available in the store - stop by to check them out. All that was needed to finish off the cards was a little ribbon and some bling!

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon.
