Clean and Simple Christmas Card

Do you send out a lot of Christmas cards?  I do and I am always looking for clean and simple Christmas card layouts to make.  This one is really easy and pretty fast to make.  I am using red and cream color cardstock.  I ran my cream base through the cuttle bug using the swirls embossing folder by Hero Arts.  The Wreath die is from Elizabeth Craft.  I added some berries to the wreath using glossy accents and ultra fine red glitter also by Elizabeth Craft. Added some red ribbon and Viola' done. All supplies can be found at A Scrap-N-Place.

A Poinsettia Christmas

This week I have a little bit different card...and I'll have a bonus later in the week!

For this card I used the Spellbinders poinsettia die.  It does make for a lovely flower, don't you think?  I shaped the petals by placing them on my soft stamping mat and using my stylus to make the petals cupped.  Kittie has a wonderful tutorial on her blog.  Please check it out.

Supplies:
All are available at A Scrap N Place...
Cardstock: Vanilla, Red, Green
Patterned Paper: Authentique Diverse
Accessories: Various ribbons and trims from May Arts, Rhinestones, dimensionals.

Hope you have a wonderful week... and be sure to watch for my gift box!

Winter Mittens

So sorry for the late post but I was enjoying my crafting time at the retreat all weekend and totally forgot to take my post out of the draft state. If you are local you should really consider attending the retreat that Terri hosts twice a year. She has fabulous giveaways and I made some new friends and got  lots of work done!
Now for my card. I used a Memory box die and some of those beautiful Authentique papers. Added ribbon to hod them together to finish it off.

This is the side view to show the bag.

All supplies can be purchased at A Scrap 'N Place

A Little Gift Bag

Have you ever needed to get a gift ready in a hurry and didn't have a fancy bag?  Well you could make a little gift bag out of cardstock or you can buy plain bags at your local craft store, you can even decorate a plain brown lunch bag, it does not take much to turn nothing into something.  I am using paper from Making Memories and the Wreath die from Elizabeth Crafts. The red bow on the wreath is made using a velvety sticker sheet from Starform.  I added berries to the wreath with glossy accents and ultra fine glitter by Elizabeth Craft.  All supplies can be found at  A Scrap-N-Place.

Winter Wonderland

Today's card for Scrap n Place is another fun Christmas card.. and I just love snowmen.. the Die set  is just to cute and can be used so many different ways.
Supplies
sizzix stamp and Die cut set
copic markers
pearl paint ranger
stickles ranger
memento black ink
Distress ink Iced Spruce.
glitter pen clear
Paper
Red, white Green
Designer paper
dies
Spellbinders 2013 Snowflake pendant
Memory box frosty border 98171
Lea'bilities holly frame
dries clear glue
red bling
green ribbon

The card was made by just cutting the dies and adding the glitter pen to the snowman and flakes to add a little bling.. then just layered the way I wanted it to go.. the  holly frame to do the two different colors you just need to cut twice.. easy ... the longest part was letting your liquids dry..
this set is great for production stamping because it does not take long to color.. which speeds up the process.
thanks for stopping by Debbie

Clean and Simple AND Bling...

Can you do both?  Of course!  It's not mutually exclusive.  In fact, many of my favorite Clean and Simple designers use bling on their cards.
Here's my card for this week:

As you can see, the design is simple.  There is a single image focus, there is "white space" (it doesn't have to be white, just open, unfilled space).

This time I used the die to create a white tree on green. This time I also ran the green cardstock thru my BigShot with the die and embossing mats.  I wanted to try embossing it to mark the place for the tree. The rhinestones set off the tree like ornaments.  The star is embossed with iridescent embossing powder, making it quite shimmery.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Ivory, Green
Designer Paper: Making Memories Twinkle
Die: Impression Obsession Merry Tree
Accessories: Dimensionals, Rhinestones, Star Punch, Iridescent Embossing powder.

PS...I was supposed to post yesterday.  I apologize.  I had to go out of town to take care of my mom, who has alzheimers, while my dad was unable to be there.

Merry & bright

Hi everyone!  I am absolutely loving these quick holiday cards and love how this one turned out.  I matted my papers with green card stock, embossed one strip and then layered them all up.  I then took the same green cardstock and used the "merry" die by Memory Box to add to the top of the card.  Added a little stickles for some bling cause a girl gotta have her bling :D

Happy Tuesday Everyone!  Tanya here with a little inspiration for you.  I like making quick, easy cards to mail out for Christmas and this one would fit the bill.  All I did was mat a piece of designer paper and used a coordinating piece to go across the middle.  I then used one of the die cuts from the bigger 12x12 sheet, added a rosette made out of ribbon and that was it :)  Simple yet elegant!

Red and Vanilla Christmas

One of my favorite color combinations for Christmas is red and vanilla.  White is pretty with red, but vanilla is so rich!  I love this music designed paper...it's from Making Memories.

For this card I used just the bottom portion of the die, leaving off the top of the tree.  The music paper and the red layer are distressed, and I added a spray of branches to the bow.  Red rhinestones finish off the card...some on the spray and some on the music.  Hope you enjoy!

Supplies
Cardstock: Red, vanilla, artichoke green
Designer paper: Making Memories Twinkle
Die: Impression Obsession Merry Tree
Ribbon: May Arts, a bit of natural twine
The rest: Rhinestones, dimensionals, punch for the branches.

All supplies from A Scrap N Place

Is it Christmas Time Already?

Isn't it a lovely fall morning?  At least it is here in sunny Colorado!  I just love fall!

But plans are under way for Christmas already, and I have a Christmas card to share with you today.

Maybe I should introduce myself first...my name is Diane, but you probably know me as fionna51 on Splitcoaststampers.  Terri asked if I would like to do a guest designer spot for this month and of course I couldn't refuse!  I'll be here each Monday in October.

I'm showcasing the Impressions Obsessions die Merry Tree.  It's a lovely die, and it makes a gorgeous card.  Terri carries it in the store.

I began with a layout that I particularly like for my clean and simple style of stamping.  Did you notice that I didn't stamp on this card?  Shock!  The die cut is the focus, and there's plenty of "white space".  But I stepped it up a bit and used designer paper for a background instead of solid, and added a ribbon to help draw the eye to the words.  After punching out the star, I coated it with versamark and carefully embossed it (held the star with tweezers while heating).  The white panel is popped up off the card base with dimensionals.  And of course, there's bling!

Supplies (all available at A Scrap N Place in Loveland):
Paper: White, artichoke green, Basic Gray Jovial Crushed Velvet, a scrap of yellow
Tools: Impression Obsession Merry Tree die, star punch
Ribbon: May Arts
Accessories: Rhinestones, dimensionals, iridescent embossing powder.

Enjoy!

A Joyous Christmas

Hi There! It's time to think about getting ready for your Christmas projects. I made this card using Penny Blacks new Holly Berries die. I embossed the solid cardstock to give it some texture and the hollies and berries were adhered to the card using 3-D foam tape.

All supplies can be purchased at A Scrap 'N Place:
Papers: Authentique Paper Collection
Accessories: Freckled Fawn (rhinestone), Organza ribbon
Tools: Provo Craft (Swiss Dots embossing folder), Penny Black (Holly Berries die)

Snowman Shadow Box Card

oday's Card for A Scrap N  Place in CO  is a shadow box card.  I had a person tell me these are not to hard to do.. this is a very simple one.. One of these days I will try a more fancy one.
Supplies
Sizzix/Hero Arts snowman set
Copic markers
Memento Black ink
Eva Creative red bling
Stickles Distress Fried Brick
Pop up Dots,
Dries Clear adhesive

Memory Box Frost;y Border
Memory Box Mittens 98663
